Eloise approaches the counseling process from a Christian cognitive behavioral perspective, where patterns of irrational beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors are explored to assist in gathering the key understanding of mental health and mental illness— in order to better understand and serve the clients. Eloise views clients as persons and not as their diagnosis. She provides an environment in which empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness are present. The clients’ presenting problems are explored in depth to better understand them and together develop effective solutions towards achieving their goals and objectives. Additionally, choice theory is implemented when indicated. Eloise works with clients individually and as a couple.
